Top 9 amazing postcards to kids!

Kids rarely receive real mail though the post, and they often love it when they do! So, we invited our users to take part in our challenge, and make a little person’s day with a personalised postcard.

Hundreds and hundreds of you sent postcards all over the globe – from parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, toys, pets, and even plants!

We hand-picked a few of our favourites, and got in touch with the lovely senders to ask them more.

Fallon from Durham, UK

We loved Fallon’s collage postcard with these beautiful photos of her sons.

Who was this card from and who was it to?

I sent the card from myself and my husband to my 4-year-old little boy Harry.

Why did you decide to send Harry this card?

He got a lovely end of year school report and he has been a really loving and kind big brother to his 1-year-old brother, Luke.

What was his reaction?

Harry loves getting things through the post so he was really excited and proud of himself. He loved the fact it had pictures of him and Luke on the front.

Patty from Missouri, USA

It may be hard to work a touch screen with paws, but that didn’t stop Patty’s furry friend from sending this adorable postcard!

Who was this card from and who was it to?

The card was sent to our great niece from her new best friend!

Why did you decide to send her this photo?

It was such a sweet photo and we thought her family would enjoy hanging it with the postcard collection they have displayed in their home.

What was their reaction?

They loved it!

Alan from Manchester, UK

Alan roped in the help of two cuddly little friends to send his son this postcard!

Who was this card from and who was it to?

The card was send to my son Evan, and it was from his two teddies, ‘Dog Dog One’ and ‘Dog Dog Two.’

Why did you decide to send Evan this picture?

He was having trouble deciding which teddies to take on holiday with him.

What was his reaction?

The postcard arrived whilst I was at work. By the time I got home, the teddies were sitting on top of his suitcase, all ready to go on holiday!

Julie for Perth, Australia

For our challenge, Julie helped her daughter to send this cute collage postcard!

Who was this card from and who was it to?

It was from Shae, who is 5, to her friend Eliza in the UK.

Why did Shae decide to send this postcard?

Eliza had sent Shae a postcard of a London bus so we thought it would be nice to reply to that. We wanted to send a few photos of Shae to Eliza to show her how she has grown into a little girl.

What was her reaction?

Eliza loved her postcard and took it to school to show her school friends her friend in Australia.

Jenny from London, UK

Jenny and her partner certainly looked like they were having tons of fun in this sunny snap.

Who was this card from and who was it to?

This card was from me, Auntie Jenny, and my other half Alex, to my niece and nephew Abby and Charlie.

Why did you decide to send them this photo?

Because it showed us being silly and having fun on holiday!

What was their reaction?

They thought we were very silly but giggled alot!

Justin from Adelaide, Australia

We loved this photo that Justin took of his children with a beautiful natural phenomena.

Who was this card from and who was it to?

I sent this postcard to my children Amelie, Caleb and Eli.

Why did you decide to send them this photo?

To remind them of our school holiday adventure searching together for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, on a cold winter day.

What was their reaction?

Lots of giggles and jumping, then concentration while they crowded together to read their special message.

Mary from Washington, USA

We adored this gorgeous card of Mary’s children, but we loved it even more when we saw who it was from!

Who was this card from and who was it to?

The card was from the new baby sister to her big brothers.

Why did you decide to send the boys this photo?

We thanked them for being good big brothers, praising their patience with Mom and Dad, and helping them adjust to a new baby in the house.

What was their reaction?

They were surprised and felt special to get their own postcard. My kindergartener shared it at show and tell.

Colleen from Florida, USA

The Touchnote Team went mushy when we saw the two little faces on this postcard!

Who was this card from and who was it to?

The card was sent from me, “Grandmommy,” to my toddler grandsons.

Why did you decide to send the boys this photo?

I was inspired to send this in response to the Challenge, hoping the image would touch their heart, as it did mine, and because they like to receive mail.

What was their reaction?

It worked! They reacted with awes, smiles, and warm delight; and it continues to be prominently displayed on their refrigerator.

Chris from Poole, UK

We loved these super-cute photos of Chris’s sons out having fun and adventures!

Who was this card from and who was it to?

The card was from myself to my sons Basil (who’s 6) and Ewan (who’s 3.)

Why did you decide to send them these photos?

I have been away from home a lot recently with work and wanted to let them know how proud I am of them both for being so good whilst I’ve been away.

What was their reaction?

They were thrilled and couldn’t believe they were seeing themselves on a real postcard.
